So what does Ben do during holiday season when his wife is gone for 4 days visiting her parents? Besides sitting around missing his wife, he spends hours and hours and hours and hours sitting on a couch with a laptop and earphones, playing around on Photoshop and catching up on some music.
Some of the artists in my playlist at the moment include Coldplay (X&Y), Counting Crows (August and everything after), Creed (Greatest Hits), Ray LaMontagne, Klopjag, Live (Throwing Copper), David Gray (Sell sell sell), Moby (Play), Hillsong, and Radiohead (Ok Computer).
I also got to play half a round of golf at Windsor Park (shot a rather disappointing 48), watch my favourite movie and eat dark chocolate and biltong.
All in a days work…not sure where all the time goes under normal married conditions, but it sure seems less.
I’ve always loved this painting by Peter Howson (Sisters of Mercy). I would totally have it hanging in our apartment.
