Only slightly overdue, but I finally got myself a copy from the legend last night.
I’ve been so busy lately with editing that I never got to edit the few honeymoon pictures we took in September.
It’s been fun working through them, and thinking how unlike the usual (same ol’ same ol‘) honeymoon pictures they are (there are no “two smiley faces and a left forearm” pictures). Sure, my mother in law might not like them (my mother will because I‘m her son), but who cares, “water!”
There is a definite pattern running through this portfolio, the subjects tend to be really small and obscure in many of the images…I think it is because of how it dawned on me (once again) how completely finite we really are in the greater scheme of things. Experiences like these have a habit of crucifying the “you are in control of your own destiny” god we worship nowadays.
All images taken in the Central Drakensberg district.
I’m tempted to call this photograph “the shadow”
we were dreaming of playing in the snow but this is the closest we ever got to it
slightly different view
“us” working on our wedding memories book
not your typical giraffe shot but it’s one of my favourite compositions this year
breakfast at Spioenkop Nature Reserve
some landscapes
we got there just after some devastating veld fires…please don’t dump your smoldering cigarette buds again next year
spot the 4 baboons?…they’re running across the hill (don’t say I didn’t warn you)
Cindy and I feeding close to a tree
probably my friendlier side
Oh, should you desire wedding images that are not the usual same ol’ same ol‘…I am your man
(that sounds very cheesy…but then again ,who cares? WATER!)
