This weekend we were hanging out at Galagos just outside Pretoria off the N4, and what a splendid fairy tale wedding venue this is, tucked away on a hill somewhere in a forest to the east.
The parties involved must have wondered if I was entirely OK as I was staring up at the tall tree tops swaying in the mist the whole time and smiling, occasionally wandering off on my own…was kind of a personal moment for me, but a very beautiful one.
And of course rain did bucket down, but by the time we got to do the couple shoot, it was only the rain dripping from the trees we had to dodge. I kept thinking of the story of ol’ Benjamin Komoetie in Fiela se Kind and I had to wonder if there were perhaps any elephants in the vicinity.
Anyway, getting back to reality, I partnered up with H this weekend to shoot Chantal and Kobus’ wedding, and they were awesome. A big thanks for Chantal and Kobus for being such a sweet couple, I really enjoyed hanging out with you guys.
Chantals dark hair compelled me to do a little gothic creation. Fairy tale pics coming a a bit later have been posted.
