One from Stians‘ (aka “Vernon Koekemoer”..not the real one but they had Stian dressed up like him) bachelors. Coming to think of it…this might be a cool alternative to the usual “e-session”. Ask for it if you are interested (I don’t normally do it)

Taken with my Yashica camera on Kodak ELITEChrome 100 film (only slightly slow for the occasion); cross-processed and scanned as B/W negative…
My grannie had her 80th birthday yesterday.
BAIE GELUK OUMA!! Ek hoop ouma het n wonderlike dag gehad.
baie baie baie liefde, Bennie en Cindy!!
My mom organised a massive surprise party on Sunday at Cascata Restaurant, lotsa fun! Here’s my gran listening to a Happy Birthday audio clip sent from Australia by my sis and bro-in-law (Adriaan jy was nogal classic…hoera, hoera…hahaha).

What an awesome wedding, totally better that I expected from my high school pal Stian
(you got yourself a real jewel buddy).
I had so much fun with the guys as they were getting ready, and got some really fun journalistic shots too. Stian was even man enough to clean up the whole mess just before leaving for the ceremony, all in the name of being a good husband (yes, let me hear it…“aaah, sweeet”)
The wedding itself was a gorgeously romantic affair, set in the afternoon with rain rushing in to seal the chapel doors just after she entered. I am so happy for them, it really was a stunning wedding. I am thrilled to have been invited.
N-joy the preview!

I thought this was a nice variable to the “groom shaving in the mirror” shot…plus I just wanted to get Stian back for leaving me stranded on the hill when we were supposed to bunk school one day (insert “evil laugh” audio clip here).

And of course, the cellphone paparazzi was there in full force. I always enjoy photographing these moments…it’s all part of the wedding day after all.

Fetching the bride and groom…that’s also the last time I saw my umbrella
At least I have a picture
