Adelle and Henno’s wedding at Avianto marked the start of a busy wedding weekend for my assistant Tim, with three weddings in a row—including two at this well-known Johannesburg venue. Strangely enough, despite photographing weddings across Gauteng for years, this was my first time working at Avianto. It was about time I finally added it to the list.
Scouting for the couple session, we wanted to find a fresh perspective beyond the many albums displayed at the venue. With so many weddings photographed here over the years, it was a challenge to create something unique—but we managed to step away from the expected. A quiet stroll to a different part of the venue gave us exactly what we needed.
